In June, Mount St. Joseph (MSJ) Prep School competed in the annual JISA Prep Schools Track and Field Championship in Kingston, Jamaica. The championship allows independent schools across the country to compete in a series of track and field events. This year, MSJ Prep athletes represented the Mercy name well; with the team earning top 10 positions in both the Girls and the Boys categories. MSJ Prep was ranked as a top 10 school overall and the school earned the most points it has ever scored at the championships.
Highlights from the competition included standout performances from Donovan Simpson-Brown who won in the Boys’ Class One high jump, as well as Khariah Peart who won the Class Two 100m sprint. Our Class Two Girls relay team were also victorious in the 4x100m race.
We are extremely encouraged by the skill and determination shown by our athletes. We look forward to witnessing their future success as they continue to blaze trails in sports.
