This school year marked a first for Alpha Primary School as they introduced a new Breakfast Programme which provides free meals to 45 students in need before the start of school each morning.
What makes his programme standout is the fact that it relies on the efforts of a small, yet mighty team of both student and staff volunteers. Compelled by Mercy, these individuals gather early in the morning to prepare nutritious and delicious meals for students in need.
We are thankful that our Mercy students and staff are following the call to live out the Mercy charism in their school community. Because of their service, no student has to face the challenge of going through the school day without the first and most important meal to give them the energy and focus they need to succeed.
