On May 31, the Convent of Mercy Academy, Alpha (aka Alpha Academy) put on “Create to Inspire: An evening of the Arts.” This annual production was an opportunity for the students to express their creativity and artistry while raising funds for the school.
The event was held in the school’s iconic McAuley Hall and featured music, dance, speech and sign language performances. The sign language pieces were done by an eleventh grade soloist as well as the school’s sign language club. An art exhibition entitled “Our Hidden Sovereignty” was on show along with handcrafted items made by students and teachers at the event’s Art & Craft village. The event was attended by students, parents, staff, alumni and members of the general public who gave positive reviews of the evening while expressing hopes to attend the next staging in the new school year.
