On November 14-16, 2024 the 31st annual Mandeville Art Fair was held on the grounds of the St. John Bosco Vocational Training Centre. This fundraising event aims to support the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mandeville’s social outreach programmes at local charitable organisations (including the St. John Bosco Vocational Training Centre).
The fair was kicked off with a very special evening of amazing art, food, and drinks among a smaller number of patrons at the St. John Bosco Auditorium. The following two days, however, were freely open to the public who came out in droves to view sculptures, paintings, pottery, plants, and jewellery which were presented in a variety of artistic styles and much of which reflected Jamaica’s culture and natural beauty. The fair concluded with a family fun day which featured face paintings, a bounce-a-bout and a children’s craft workshop.
Overall, a wonderful time was had by all and we look forward to seeing how the funds raised will be used to reflect the Mercy Charism through the Diocese’s upcoming outreach activities.
